Job Summary:
The Apparel Studio Assistant will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations at our design studio. This person will assist with various stages of apparel production, from managing materials to quality control and maintaining the studio’s organization. You will be working closely with our creative team to ensure the smooth flow of our production process and help maintain a creative and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production process, including cutting fabric and prepping garments for production.
- Manage inventory of fabrics, materials, and supplies, and reorder when necessary.
- Organize and maintain the studio workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are clean, organized, and accessible.
- Assist with quality control checks on completed products to ensure they meet GOLDN’s high standards.
- Collaborate with the creative and production teams to meet deadlines and troubleshoot issues.
- Help manage incoming orders and prepare them for shipping.
- Support the design team with pattern making, sampling, and garment fitting as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project.
- Assist in packaging and preparing VIP orders with extra care for presentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience in apparel production, fashion design, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of sewing techniques, fabrics, and garment construction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for fashion, especially fandom and pop culture-inspired styles, is a plus.
- Familiarity with fashion design software like Adobe Illustrator or CAD is a bonus but not required.
